A.L.M.A. Metalsmith Studio is a hands-on jewelry-making experience on South Padre Island where you’ll learn metalsmithing techniques while creating jewelry you’ll actually want to wear.

Whether you’re trying something new, celebrating with friends, or looking for a one-of-a-kind island experience, you don’t need any previous jewelry-making experience. We’ll guide you through the process from start to finish.

Sterling Silver Ring Workshop — $125

Start with silver. Leave with something you made.

Learn the fundamentals of metalsmithing while creating your own sterling silver ring.

You’ll learn how to size, shape, form, finish, and polish your piece using real metalsmithing tools and techniques.

This is a great introduction to the studio and the perfect first metalsmithing experience.

Stacking Ring Workshop — $145

Create your perfect stack.

Design and create your own set of sterling silver stacking rings while learning the basics of forming, texturing, finishing, and polishing silver.

Mix textures and finishes to create a stack that feels completely your own.

Charm Ring Workshop — $145

Make it personal.

Create your own sterling silver ring and finish it with a charm that gives your piece a little extra personality.

Your workshop includes a selection of basic charms, with additional charm options available for an upgrade.

You’ll learn the techniques behind creating your ring while making a piece that tells your story.

Silver Clay Workshop — $185

Sculpt it. Fire it. Wear it.

Create your own ring or pendant using silver clay. You’ll sculpt and personalize your piece before it is fired and transformed into .999 fine silver.

Your workshop will include silver clay and up to four fireable gemstones.

Because gemstones must be able to withstand the firing process, outside gemstones cannot be used for this workshop.

Bangle Workshop — Coming Soon

Shape it. Hammer it. Make it yours.

Create your own handcrafted bangle while learning techniques for shaping, texturing and finishing metal.

Add your personal touch and leave with a bracelet made by your own hands.

Choose your stone. Create your piece.

Take your metalsmithing experience a step further by learning how to incorporate gemstones into handcrafted jewelry.

Choose from our studio selection of beautiful stones and create a piece designed around your favorite.

The A.L.M.A. Experience

This isn’t a demonstration. You get a seat at the bench.

Our workshops are intentionally kept small, with up to 6 guests, so you have time to learn, ask questions, and receive hands-on instruction throughout your experience.

Your workshop includes:

• Materials included with your selected project

• Use of studio tools and equipment

• Hands-on instruction

• Your finished jewelry piece to take home

Optional charms, materials, and other upgrades may be available for an additional charge.

No previous metalsmithing or jewelry-making experience is necessary.

A.L.M.A. workshops are perfect for girls’ trips, birthdays, bridal groups, couples, mother-daughter days, friends, family experiences and private groups.

For groups of 5 or more, please contact us so we can help coordinate your workshop.

Before You Book

Workshops are for ages 16 and older.

A $15 per person non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your spot and is credited toward your workshop total.

Please arrive on time so you can enjoy your full workshop experience.
